How exactly does plague work? |
I'm a new player and I'm a little confused about using and curing plagues. I developed level 7 plague weapons. I attacked an enemy planet with them and it says something like "Plague level 1" on the planet report. Eventually the population on the planet went to zero. Now I have ships with Medical Bay level four on them but I can't cure the enemy planet of the plague. My colonists won't land until it's cured (at least I think that's why they can't colonize.)
My questions:
Shouldn't the plague level message say "7" if you attack with level "7" plague bombs?
Can you cure an enemy held planet of the plague?
Why doesn't the planet revert to unsettled if the enemy population is reduced to zero by a plague?
If the population is reduced to zero by the plague shouldn't the plague disappear since there is no one left to infect?
Should plague affect friendly colonists? Seems like the they would be inoculated against it before landing.
Finally, what do you do to cure the plague with a medical bay? Is it an option on the menu somewhere?

top left corner in the menue. under "projects & downloads" there is a point "issues" there you can submit bugs.

To answer your questions:
It should say Plague Level X if you attack with level X, but this may be bugged. I'm sure it works as a level X, but is reported as 1.
I don't think you can cure enemy planets.
This is so you can repopulate a planet that gets taken out by a plague. Otherwise you have to drop down with troops and capture it, or bombard it to nothingness.
It makes sense that the plague would end on an empty planet, and I think it is supposed to, but if it isn't, it's probably a bug.
Plagues affect everyone, and this can't be stopped. A med bay of some sort is the only protection.
If your cure level is >= the plague's level, it should be auto cured. Otherwise, you may need to go to the 'Use Component (or something similar)' order to do it. This would be the same button you use to use emergency components. If this fails, it's a bug.
