Lost Technology, Ruins, "the Ancients" |

I'm hoping this will revive the pirates, monsters, and independents discussion i was sad to see die...
But what i wanted to ask immediately was:
Any time i explore ruins, the only technology i ever find is
Neural Networking...
Anyone else having the same issue?

Re: Lost Technology, Ruins, "the Ancients"
I have also had cases where I don't get some new unique tech, but an automatic breakthrough on one of my current research projects.

Playing Touhou games (Go here if interested . No, nobody else is that good/insane as that replay). No rush for SE V bug fixing.

Re: Lost Technology, Ruins, "the Ancients"
i did sometimes get some nice advances in theroetical research....i.e. i had the 2 level in physik and i got the 3 level from a ruin.
for me it is mostly different what i get from it.

The tech you get is random as far as i can tell. It can be a normal one as well as a unique one, and not nessesarily something you were actually researching. It can also be something that is not actually visible in the tech tree. At least it happened in my mod.
Re: Lost Technology, Ruins, "the Ancients"
I have to ditto the other comments. It seems to be a completely random pattern as Fallen Haven mentioned above. However, the Massive items seem to dominate the greater percentage of the rolls. In my recent game I ended up getting advances in areas I was researching...somewhat of a disappointment to have wasted the resources but alas...that's the allure of the game.

Re: Lost Technology, Ruins, "the Ancients"
no I seem to get a range and Neural networkorking very rarely. Usialy I get masive shield overloading or Masive engine overloading weapons first. I did get Neural networking first once in a BM game which crashed before I could use it.
