The lone warp point paradox |

I'm starting to get annoyed by this... The last 5 or so games I've started keep putting me in a system with only one war point. I checked the system map before I started the game, and there were about 150 systems, only 5 of which had only one warp point. I ended up in one. Has anyone else noticed this?
Also, I seem to end up next to another empire whenever I do start in a system with multiple warp points. The last game this happened I made all AI humans to see where they were, and they were grouped together in packs of 3 right next to each other, too. It seems this game likes picking the least advantageous starting points it can...
Empire Distribution
I believe there is a bug. Where if you use the evenly distribute empires option when creating the map, it does the opposite. I have encountered the single warp point scenario. When I came out I found an empty system then three different empires within three warp points off this.

WAR!
Well, A short victorious war always works. Just ask Sidney Harris, it worked very well for him.....
=)
Seriously though, If the positions would be good if you didn't have the other 2, launch a war against the 2 nearest empires. Get very good at it and you'll always have a good position.
Or you could generate a map and set systems that can be starting points, so it can't happen. I don't know if that works but the tools to do it are there.
