Possible Bug, arn't Robo Miners suppose to lower the value of Astroid Fields? |

I am using the Robo Miners in a game with finite resources and they seem to work well, maybe too well, because they don't seem to lower the amount of minerals on the astroids or planets EVER, I have left some for over 10 turns with high net mineral yields but no lowering of minerals. I don't, understand why a mining facility lowers the amount of resources but a robo miner does.
If this isn't a bug, the best strategy right now, if your playing a finite resource game, just switch to robo miners as fast as you can and then destroy ALL of your mining facilities.
Field in Settings.txt
There is also a Field in Settings.txt that has "Remote Mining Decreases value" or something. I think its on by default so this is an odd one.
thats odd
Remote miners farmers etc are supposed to hurt the resource values of asteroids and planets they are used on regardless of finite resorces being on or off. So if this isn’t happening you have a bug I think.
I can’t confirm since I have not used remote mining preferring to build planets and colonise them. I also don’t play finite resources as I got burned trying it with SEIV. Zip up a save game and send it to

Finite Resources won't be AI friendly for some time
You're right that the AI has no hope in a finite resources game. It will be some time before someone with enough experience can make an AI that can handle that kind of game.
I can't even handle finite resources... too much thinking, planning, etc. I don't want to bother

I think Finite is relative
On the topic of finity and infinity, I think the 'finite resources' is broken, but I'll do some more research.
