does V 5.1.20 cover what came in V 5.1.17? |
I just got my copy of SEV a few days ago, and I was wondering if the new V 5.1.20 covers what was covered in the previous patches, because i noticed that the 1.20 patch is smaller in megabyte size than the 1.17. In summary, I would like to know what I should get and what not. Thanks.
1.20 is a full patch that
1.20 is a full patch that does everything.
The reason why it is smaller than earlier patches is that it doesn't contain the manual in PDF format, as this hasn't been updated. This makes it a smaller quicker patch to download and less harsh to host on a server.

It is full Patch the PDF Manual which hasn’t changed since v1.13 is not included with it that’s all. If you want to download the manual again it’s attached to the news announcement on this forum and something like 17meg. MM doesn’t generally do sequential patches

ya i noticed that too. I had already dled the 1.17 patch and then got the 1.2, but in your case since you are starting new, I would say get both, since the 1.2 is small. If this is a problem, I am reasonably sure the 1.2 has everything the 12.17 did, since that's what the patch page claims. The smaller file size is sometimes is because they manage to better compress the file or only change the bare minimum nesseccary from older patches.
