Mines in combat and reporting |
Is there any way in game to get a combat report for when someone goes through your minefield? I would love to know how effective the mines are- right now it's just a wild guess and what they actually do.
And what happens when you station a ship or satellite in same sector as mines, do those mines appear in the combat and the enemy ships might trigger them as they move towards you? I tried adding mines in combat simulator and it progressed as if no mines were there, they didnt show up visually and the enemy ships never seemed to get affected...
i only get mine reports if i
i only get mine reports if i also have a ship in the same hex.

One thing I don't like is
One thing I don't like is being able to click on a mined planet or warp gate and see how many mines it has. Simply having sensors say that hex is mined should be all the info I get, rather than it has 28 mines which I know a single mine destroyer will deal with, or has 78 mines in which case i need to send 3. Or it has one so my ship can take the hit on its sheilds and still deal with whatever esle is there.

Mines
Mines only do their thing OUT of combat. They explode when enemy ships enter the hex; you should get a log message telling you the enemy hit them and the results.
