Warp point of variable intensity (instable) |
I do not know if the question has been posted, but, if I remember, in SE4 trhere are warp points of different intensity that did damage to ships. Now I whish to know if anyone is able to program a variable warp point: i.e. a warp point that last some time, after some time it diseappears and after an other time reappears but with a different intensity (we can say instable). I excuse me for my bad explication, but I hope it is clear.
Thanks

Re: Warp point of variable intensity (instable)
I'm a recent expert in the scripting AI section, those functions have not been activated so during random events no warp point will be created or destroyed until those functions are active.
During the main events script there is a random chance generated and in that list of things to happen warp point closing and creating are listed. But as I said, the function to open and close them is not working, I've tried several different scripting ways and no joy.
I've put in my personal request to MM to activate the functions.....

Note, that the stellar manipulation events were fixed in v1.55...

Re: Warp point of variable intensity (instable)
Again, OUTSTANDING!! its like an Eureka moment!!!
Re: Warp point of variable intensity (instable)
So warp points will now change at random?

Nods, I remember them from
Nods, I remember them from SEIV, used to get them occasionaly in black hole systems. Not seen them in SEV....
They would be a cool addition, I like the idea of warp points that blinked in and out of existance at random, as long as they stayed conected to the same system. I suppose you could also have them jump around in the system. Which would be even better if you could do it, would be one way to stop the warp gate chkoke points.
