Shields visual effect |

Space Empires V General
Hi. If I remember well, in SEIV there are some ship-set that had shields which are around (a sphere) the ship and became visible when hit (like the shields of the Ashgard ships in "Stargate"). I do not find it in SEV and I do not know how to make that visual effect. Has anyone a suggestion?

Shield effects in SE5 are
Shield effects in SE5 are just a ring around the shot as it hits or penetrates the shields. I don't know how you'd turn it into a bubble, if that's even possible, given that SE5 is 3D yet the shield effects are 2D... I suppose you could make a large bitmap of a bubble and orient it so that it always faces the camera, but I don't know how you'd do that... look around in the BitmapEffects_SpaceCombat.txt file in a shipset and the Images/Effects folder I guess...
