Remote Deploy and Recovery |

I've noticed the buttons for remote deployment and recovery but for the life of me I can't think of how to effectivly use these features. Can someone give me a few examples of how they use them and why and maybe some instructions?

I notice planets have a remote deploy/recover ability as well, or is that a bug?

But since planets don't move, how does that work?

Basically it allows you to
Basically it allows you to set a deployment 'waypoint' for a mine layer/sattelite layer. You select the unit that has a launch capability, click on remote launch and then click on a hex - your ship will travel there and launch the maximum amount of its unit type [i.e. mines] that it has capability to [say 20 mines out of 200 in cargo if you only have one or two launch bays]. Remote recovery is basically the same in reverse, your ship will go out and retrieve the units.
Its a way to cut down on the # of steps required to seed mines and satellites.
