Error with game |
Any one else ever get this problem? An exception box pops up with this message and the screen goes gray. I have to stop the gae via Task Manager.
TDirect3Dxfile.Start - Can't find xfile
I have sent in a bug report and the response was to uninstall the game and reinstall to a different folder, as I was missing a file. I've done that, but still get the error. I haven't been able to play beyond a couple hundred turns in any game, some only a dozen, before the message pops up.

Empire ship script files
If im not mistaken X files are the empire's ship script files. It's possible you might have a bad cd. Check in each Empire folder for the 17 X files. An example of one of these files is Abbidon_battleship.X
They may all be there but it might be worth checking.
