Ability to upgrade ships in build queue on all planets

Soumis par Black root le Dim, 2006-11-26 08:22

Description

When you replace a ship design with a new one, it would be nice if it's possible to replace it in construction queues as well.

Say you invent a new sensor and you change your scout ship to become scout ship Mk 2, then instead of browsing though a whole lot of planets to clear scout 1 from the construction queues and add scout Mk 2. It would be a whole lot easier if there is somewhere to say "replace scout 1 with Scout Mk 2 in all construction queues". This would be a great timesaver.

I think you can do this, but I just cant seem to get it to work...When you click the designs button one of the options is upgrade queues, but when ever I click it it has a box much like the retrofit box but every time its empty

I always figured there was something I was missing, or maybe Im completely wrong, anyone with more experience want to shed some light on the issue? Thanks!

I had my problems too with this option, now that I know how to use it, I like it Smiling

It works like the retrofit function. You have to select the OLD Design, then click on upgrade queues and then you can choose to which Design you want to upgrade.
This will only work on those ships that are not first in the construction queue,
meaning the construction hasn't started yet. ( other than buildings, which I don't quite understand. )

So the normal update order is : select ship, update, select old design again, update queues, make obsolete.

Remember : Pillage! then burn.
