I haven't found this reported before, so if it has, sorry.
When ever I conduct a direct tech trade with the AI, the trade messages are backwards and the trades don't appear to go through (unless they are backwards as well, in which case we're giving ourselves techs we already have).

Try changing to 1.20 there might be a fix for that some where betwean 1.18 and 1.20 I cant remember definatly.

Yes i had the same problem. (i just dont trade anymore
)
But i tried it backwards (hit the "give" instead of "want") and i could only select what i had. if i did it with "want" i'd give them that tech.
