The More I play, the More I Like about it! |

So, I'm a first time player, and was very close to not getting this game because I read the bug's list first heh.
(not the best way to convince a guy to buy.)
But MAN this is a cool game!
Learning curve is up there if you haven't played this kind of game before, (or for a few years, which is my case,) but the depth, once you get into it! Sheesh, just plain AWESOME!
man, this is like those old Avalon Hill strategy games, except with more detail, and you don't have to mess with hundreds of octagon shaped tile pieces.
I can just see a whole bunch of ways that I'm going to have fun with this game. the customization's of the thing is absolutely amazing, and with promises from the mod community for more. (and promises from the mod community that the developer will keep on polishing it up.
Anyway, so, for my positive experience, I patched the game, then read some of the workarounds for some of the things still 'to be worked on' like losing ordinance when grouping as a fleet. (easily bypassed by not grouping as a fleet... a tad more micro management, but nothing too bad,) and I just don't know what folks are talking about with crashes... I set my game to save every move, and the one time I did crash (out of a good 20 hours worth of play,) I just reloaded, tried the exact same thing, and didn't have a problem.
ok, anyway, I just wanted to say that the deeper I get in, the more cool that it is. Don't let the negativeness scare you away from the game.
If your worried, then snag it at game spot, since they include Space Empires IV, if V isn't polished enough for you, you can play IV till they get the patches and mods out that you want for V.
I know, I sound lame saying that, since I'm a big proponent of 'polishing the game before it goes gold' but hey, what can I say, I had a change of heart on this one!
zWolf -out.

I totally...
... agree with you!
This game is AWSOME!
And in a few patches all the bugs and annoyances will disappear.
I want just to point out that when you say:
That's exactly the reason why it is so hard to track and kill all the bugs
