attacking ships starting battle adjacent to planetSoumis par Dogboy le Dim, 2008-09-14 11:40 Space Empires V GeneralIn two recent battles, enemy ships have managed to begin at a position surrounding my planet and my ally's planet. They are not cloaked, so I don't see how we could have let them get so close without firing. (I don't even know if they should be able to sneak up when cloaked). Any idea why? Also, will cloaked ships be able to slip past my ships if they can't see them, or do they engage in battle whenever they are at the same position in space? If they do engage, then fighters can defend wormholes against cloaked invaders, if not, they can't. Thanks! |
Has anyone else run out of patience with SE5?Soumis par pyro48 le Dim, 2008-09-14 14:09 Space Empires V GeneralI bought this game a LONG time ago now and it still does'nt work properly. The list of bugs seems to grow, not diminish with each patch. At best the AI is rudimentary and at worst it's non-existant. |
Enemy ships starting near planet?Soumis par Dogboy le Dim, 2008-09-14 15:27 Space Empires V GeneralIn two recent attacks on planets (one, mine, another my ally's) the enemy ships began around the planet. Is this normal? I thought fleets entered battle on the side of the map corresponding to the direction from which they came. In this case, they had no cloaking, but if they were, could they move in without being noticed and then attack? |
