"Share enemy designs" treaty

But what is exactly an "enemy"? Is it a player that you are at war with? That you don't have any treaty with? One with whom you only have a "No agression in neutral space" treaty? "No agression in all systems" traty? Or any other player?

Not just a portrait...

Hello All,

Yesterday I started a new game using Balance Mod (both mod and core fully patched) and played about 8 hours on and off (saving every-so-often). Today when I loaded my saved game, the first thing that I noticed was that the portrait was of a different race...everything else appears to check out. Yeah I could keep playing, but to me a portrait is not just a little picture...it's my identity in this game. I've looked at the saved game files to no avail and am completely at a loss. I've played as numerous other empires using this setup, but this was the first time that I've had any problems loading a saved game. I'm almost to the point of just holding out until BM 1.15 is finally released until I start a new game...any suggestions?

StarTrek Mod 2.0 (Deutsch)

Nach langer Zeit, musste ich festellen
das doch noch der ein oder andere Patch für die deutsche Version erschienen ist, aber mein StarTrek nicht
mehr wirklich funktionierte (Rassen ließen sich nicht mehr laden).

Daher hab ich das Ganze angepasst, und ein wenig erweitert.

StarTrek Mod 2.0 (an deutsche Version Patch 1.74 angepasst)

Enthalten sind 20 Rassen (inklusive Bilder der Führer, diverse Logos und Geschichte),
10 Shipsets und 8 Schiffsdesign Namen.

Hi,

This is not a mod, more of something which could be added to someone elses mod (there is no AI for this - the ai will not use it).

NOTE: Using these on your ships, will make your organic use a lot higher.
NOTE: If you use the fighter cockpits then you also need to modify the fighters (and crystal fighters and organic fighters) in VehicleSizes: EG,
Requirement 2 Description := This vehicle must have 1 Fighter Cockpit.
Requirement 2 Formula := (Get_Design_Specific_Component_Count("Fighter Cockpit") = 1) or (Get_Design_Specific_Component_Count("Trained Pilot Cockpit") = 1) or (Get_Design_Specific_Component_Count("Elite Pilot Cockpit") = 1)

Hi,

This is not a mod, more of something which could be added to someone elses mod (there is no AI for this - the ai will not use it).

NOTE: Engineering will slowly repair a damaged ship (so slowly that it is usually better to send a repair ship. I did once have a long range scout cruiser badly damaged in the middle of knowhere, took it 2.5 years to repair itself enough to safely start moving back into my borders.
NOTE: Unit bay construction is usefull on large carriers. Or may be useful in a 'battlestar galactica' type of mod.

Hi,

This is not a mod, more of something which could be added to someone elses mod (there is no AI for this - the ai will not use it).

I use these to get the exact size cargo I want, rather than the mass cargo bay which increases in size everytime you increase a level - these always stay the same size.

Name := Cargo Zone I
Description := modular component which can be added to to create an exact sized cargo location
Picture Number := 9
Maximum Level := 1

Engines which do not store supply - useful for when you want to control how much supply a fighter etc gets (ie to create a short range fighter).

Description := Standard Ion Engine for sub-light inter-system travel. No Supply.

I never found it realistic that aux control is the same size as the bridge:
Your bridge is where 12 command crew spend 5 years happily and comfortably working.
Your auxiliary Control is where the 6 petrified crew members left after your ship is ripped to pieces tries to get that last cannon working from.

Name := Auxiliary Control
Description := If a ship's bridge is ever destroyed, this will serve as a temporary bridge for the ship.

Hi,

Fighter launch is a area where fighters can launch from (not land or be stored).
Fighter Land is an area where fighters can land (not launch or be stored).
Hanger Bay is more like the hanger bay's from star wars, large open area with a bit of everything in it. fighters, drones and satellites could be kicked off the side or retrieved from it.

Name := Fighter Launch
Description := Area on a starship where fighters are launched.

Only normal armour and crystalline done (I don't really use the other types much).

Description := Light titanium armor used to protect a ship from physical damage.
Picture Number := 15
Maximum Level := 100
Tonnage Space Taken Formula := 1
Tonnage Structure Formula := 5 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 3)

Editing max systems in settings.txt

I had a quick question regarding changing the max number of systems for a large galaxy in the settings.txt file...

If a person say doubles it to 200, the map will generate a lot of extra systems... However, it seems that many have no names... Do you think this would be stable? Perhaps other problems arise?

Trouble with fleet joining in simultaneous

So I have a 14 speed fleet and two 13 speed ships. I tell them to meet two hexes from their both positions. The ships are told to join the fleet.

On day 7 they both arrive at the meeting point, stay there for the day 8, then on day 9 the fleet leaves... without the 13 speed ships! (Then the fleet proceeds to a warp point for what has become a suicide mission)

What did I do wrong? Sad
