However in a multiplayer game my opponent does not have the same shipset and it appears that it selects a random default shipset and uses it instead of the custom one i am actually using. Does he need to download the shipset as well? |

I probably shouldn't complain, but it seems a little unrealistic. For example, in one of my single-player games I just conquered an enemy homeworld. After two or three turns of orbital bombardment (which killed millions) I landed a huge army and slaughtered the roughly 40 militia units. The planet is now being occupied by a foreign army which they've been at war with for three years. Surprisingly, the colonists are still Jubilant and are already 99% loyal to me. What gives? Shouldn't they be a bit upset at recent developments? FYI, thi |

'Weapon Reload Time' damage types capped too lowSoumis par Turducken le Lun, 2008-07-14 14:23 Bug ReportsThe weapon damage types of 'Increase Weapon Reload Time' and 'Disrupt Weapon Reload Time' are both capped too low. To whit: - 'Increase Weapon Reload Time' will never add more than 2.5 seconds to the next shot's reload time, no matter how much 'damage' has been inflicted. This is true regardless of the weapon's actual reload time. - 'Disrupt Weapons Reload Time' will never push back a weapon's current reload time to more than 2.5 seconds. In fact, if the weapon normally takes longer than 2.5 seconds to reload, and it is hit by one of these weapons, the reload time will be shortened to 2.5 seconds! This weapon can actually increase an enemies' rate of fire under some circumstances! |
Anyone work these out?Soumis par Tilarium le Lun, 2008-07-14 22:08 SE:V MODsI use BM.... for the record, so yeah. Anyone figure out how to do research and intel on a space station? No so much concerned with making science ships but would be nice for a station in a remote sector to have research and intel facilities. Also, anyone figure out how to do things like captains and crews and such? Best way I can think of is to make them components but wouldn't it be more logical to beable to move the crew and captains around? War breaks out? Train alot of war captains and have that captain replace a ships current captain that isn't a war captain! Only way I can think of is cargo.. but how would you generate them? How do you limit it to one of the type (captain) per ship? Can you make it so a peice of cargo (captain and crews) give a bonus to the ship? |
