SE5 AI ComparaisonSoumis par BlueTemplar le Mar, 2008-06-10 15:39 Space Empires V FAQsAs of 1.71 (1.74 not tested yet but shouldn't have changed much), here's after some tests (runturns 20) the AI classement from best to worst: Unnamed - I am actually losing a game against it, and not only because I was careless. In the last 3 mods the AI mainly lose the colonisation phase because they don't know to build enough Space Yard bases that allow for an exponential expansion as long as you have enough ressources - and with a good homeworld you could support up to 20 base space yards! |

New PBW Game: JumpGates (All Tech / No Warp Points)Soumis par Kingside_Bishop le Mar, 2008-06-10 20:42 Space Empires V MultiplayerHi, all! I started a PBW game, and thought I'd advertise it here. So, here goes! The title of the game is "Jumpgates (All Tech / No Warp Points)". ~~~~~ Hi! I've been wanting to do something interesting with SE:V for awhile now, so here goes: JumpGates... a catchy title if ever there was one! No warp points. All research is completed. Resources are finite. Players can only colonize breathable atmospheres of their home planet type. First to be the last one standing with a homeworld wins the game! So, to elaborate a bit... 1) No warp points. The medium, flower spiral galaxy will not start with any warp points, which means that players will be stuck in their starting systems until they develop ships and/or bases to open warp points to nearby systems. To facilitate this, each player starts with five homeworlds, so that their industry is sufficiently jumpstarted to allow the production of such massively expensive tools, and all technology has been researched, so that players won't have to actually research Stellar Manipulation, which takes literally forever. Also, as a house rule, the construction of System Gravitational Shield Facilities is strictly forbidden -- otherwise, the game would be unplayable. If anyone is caught building them, they will be telekeuthanised. |
