A moment in time. (Krenim timeline 4064)

Soumis par Randallw le Mer, 2008-02-27 02:17 Space Empires V After Action Reports

TO: Captain Vres (Comamnding TS 138)
FROM: Commander Mel't (Chief Historian, TS 138)
RE: Imperium timeline 4064. Focal points.

Report dated, timedate 2403.2 1649.

It is the purpose of this report, along with following updates, to establish a procedure for the implementation of timeline 4065 (If deemed appropriate).

Detailed records of previous events can be found [Crosslink: Imperium Timeline 4063].For the record these events will be briefly covered. Following the implementation of Temporal incursion 4063 the Imperium was discovered to be reduced to the level of a 63% restoration on timedate 2370. Observation was established and the Imperium continued it's growth to reach a 74% restoration. At timedate 2400 the Imperium encountered a species called the Devore [Crosslink: Devore 4063]. In previous timelines this species and it's empire was known to the Imperium however they were contained some distance from the Imperium proper. Due to events theorised to be related to incursion 4063, and surprsingly 2041, 3023, and 3723. The Devore Imperium of this timeline was substantially more expansionist. Observation was continued but Devore success lead to a reduction of the Imperium to an 18% restoration. At this stage a temporal incursion focused on the Devore species was authorised.

how do i create a pod ?

Soumis par White Haven le Mer, 2008-02-27 04:45 Space Empires V General

I want to create pods for my starships. what it is is a satalite filled with weapons that is launched from a mother ship, after tumbling from the pod bay it stays in formation with the mother ship and fires upon enemy's as they come into range. I am however having trouble figuring out how it should work. what I need is:

1 a unit (sattalite) that when launched can move

2 a way to make a tractor beam (which dose no damage) that automatically attacks the nearest enemy(the mother ship)once the pod is launched

3 a way to let the pod attack other enemy's with their other weapons

4 if possible a reduction in speed/turn of the mother ship for each pod that is targeting it

Best Beam Weapon in game

Soumis par Lonewolf187 le Mer, 2008-02-27 20:53 Space Empires V General

Hello everyone:
I was wondering what is the most effective beam weapon in the game? I know the Wave-Motion gun is the biggest, but I was wondering what the most effective one is in terms of damage, range, and cost.
I mostly play Stock and I like playing theme fleets (ex: I played a fleet similar to the one in the New Battlestar Galactica using only Depleted Uranium Cannons and Capital Ship Missiles) and the next one I want to play will be mostly using beam weapons and torpedoes (similar to Star Trek ships)

Organic Armor

Soumis par pyroman le Mer, 2008-02-27 23:05 Space Empires V General

ok, so in stock it doesnt regenerate after a battle...

Do any of the mods make it regenerate after the battle? Also is the regeneration process have a heavy usage of supplies?

And as a rule of thumb the supply destroying/ or transferring of supply deplete your supply rather quickly? like if I only have supply from engines would this kind of weapon pose a threat?...say if I was rp-ing an organic and not using shields would this kind of weapon tear though my ships?
