End of turn processing stall using v1.63 patchSoumis par antaeus8579 le Jeu, 2007-12-06 10:12here is my problem. date in game is 2423.9 i start the turn process and the games stalls at the end turn process. now i have a new computer and i installed patch v1.63 right after i installed the game. now what i have noticed is if i go to a previous turn and change something like move a ship, avoid a battle, eliminate what i have building, eliminate what i am researching or other things i might get a turn or 2 farther. Please help need to play. |
Bug when adding new Tech Groups...Soumis par Gideon le Jeu, 2007-12-06 13:01This bug involves modding. It seems that when you have more than nine tech groups, you can not see any techs in the Research window if you are displaying Time Remaining. If you switch to Percent Complete or Accumulated Cost, and select a category, then you can see techs as normal. If you point points in a tech and then switch back to Time Remaining, it will only show you the techs you are currently researching, and will only show you the Percent Complete in those techs. This appears to be a conflict with the Resarch in Progress button. Suggestion: Move the Research in Progress, |

GidMod, Status Update...Soumis par Gideon le Jeu, 2007-12-06 15:03 SE:V MODsWell, so far so good. Extensive testing has uncovered some more errors in my mod which have been corrected (such as the AI being able to spend over 100% of its intel points on sabotage actions under certain conditions). Currently, however, there is still much work that can be done. As the mod continues from this point forward, one of my ongoing tasks will be to build ways to further differentiate each race's behaviours from each other. I would say that, at this point, Research is the weakest part of this AI. I can not add any more tech groups, as I've hit the limit the UI code will allow. If I add any more, errors occur in the Research window. Therefore, to get past this roadblock, I need to completely rethink how the AI goes about research, and implement a different system than what exists now. While this will (hopefully) give the AI more flexability in its research, as well as making it more dangerous, this will be a time consuming task. |
