I have a Problem:
When I send a Message to another Empire into The Alliance Chamber, it depend on what message exactly I use, the game hang up a diplay the follow message: "Access violation at address 006ff07d in module "Se5.exe" read of adress 00000010" the address would be different and the read also, but the message is allways the same. The rest of the game look works fine.
I was playing a standard game in the Eurpean retail version updated until 1.66 version.
How can i fix that?

Hi,
I am trying to find the right version in order to update my SEV Version 1.20 bought in the UK. I already downloaded the EU versions 1.63 and 1.44 but when installing them I always get the info that my version (1.20) does not match an older version required by the respective patch.
Which update do I have to install first in order to avoid that?????

planetary supplies ?!

Hey, can anyone help?
How can I improve the amount of supplies available at a planet to refit a ship? And on what parameters does the planetary supply production depend on?
I have problems to refit ships at one location that does not go above approx. 4500 supply points a turn.

And how can I voluntarily store a certain number of supply points on a given planet anyway???

Some problems with SEV 1.66 and Unnamed Mod 1.08

Hi,

I started a new game with SE V 1.66 and Unnamed Mod 1.08. I encontered some problems I would like to report.

1- Sometimes enemy empires offer a treaty which is empty. Their mood is still murderous and we are at war.

2- Some empires stop building ship even if they have enough ressources.

3- Empires I'm at war with, never attack. They only build colony and supply ships.
(in my current game their is only the Eee that have a fleet and is destroying all the colonies of
the Amonkrie.)

4- Sometimes AI build two spaceports on a planet.

The last problem is a bug with the core game itself, I think. Like posted by Irongiant some weeks ago, the game freeze at the end of turn (blue bar). I played a game with BM 1.11 and I didn't had the problem. If I send a savegame to MM, will they look at it even if it's a mod savegame?

Should I be seeing organic ship hulls when I start with organic tech?

I see organic shells for mines, fighters, troops, satelites and weapon platforms. I see organic ship hulls when an AI uses organic. I am using Balance Mod, could that be the problem?

What to do with planet production when you don't need any combat oriented stuff?

I was thinking it would be nice to put a planet's unneeded production into something like "trade goods" that would be applied to the happiness or loyalty measurements by improving quality of life.

Or being able to harden facilities by armoring them or moving them underground.

Ship icon movement speed

I took a breather from SEV and am back. I install 1.66 on a clean install. But when I play, the icons for the ships move around the sytems INCREDIBLY slowly. Like one and a bit hexs per second.
I've tried changing the "movement replay movement icon speed" and "movement replay rate" to "very high", but they make no difference (well, they make a difference, but it is barely perceptible). A little digging finds "Main System Display Icon Move Speed Points Per Second Very High" in settings.txt, which I increase by a couple of 0s to 20000000.0, but it makes no difference.

I uninstalled and tried a fresh install without the patch (because this problem wasn't there in 1.44 - which is what I was using when last playing), and sure enough, my ships zip around the galaxy just fine.

First, to the links:
- All 3 Campaigns (RAR, 1 meg) : This is the stock campaigns with a vastly improved physics model. Be sure to try starting a game in episode 2, where you have the option of flying a warp-capable FIGHTER with an extra-fancy "leaky armor" system (full coverage, but small holes can be punched in it if you aren't careful).
- Supersized version of P&N Episode 1 : This tweak takes the above game, shrinks ships, and scales up planets. They're impressively HUGE now. You will need to rely on your radar components more (instead of eyeballing everything), and fighters will accidentally ram much less often.

problems with files

i have vista , i have had no problems , untill i try and unzip into the game folder. yes i have wrar so that not it . my problem is for some reason the zip cannot find the correct path to the folder. i am now manually copying and pasting files to make work. what a pain. as such i cannot get the new media files to work for dulvs mod. i know i cant be the only one. the main game works and the BM 1.11 works but UN and Dulv no because they need certain files . please advise.
