Is_Planet_Domed not working?Soumis par devnullicus le Lun, 2007-12-17 05:02 Space Empires V GeneralSo, I was experimenting a bit today and tried out an idea. I wanted to make facilities cost twice as much (to build and maintain) if the planet is domed. Seems easy, right? IN facilities.txt, just use something like this:
Cost Organics Formula := ( 1000 + ( ( [%Level%] - 1 ) * 50 ) ) * iif( Is_Planet_Domed(), 2, 1 ) Cost Radioactives Formula := ( 1000 + ( ( [%Level%] - 1 ) * 50 ) ) * iif( Is_Planet_Domed(), 2, 1 ) |

Ship sizes and effectivenessSoumis par Thighzen le Lun, 2007-12-17 20:29 Space Empires V GeneralI have not played space empires 5 for a while since I have been in school for the past few months. Before when I played it seemed like larger ships aren't worth getting and using as combat ships because smaller ships cost the same and are more effective. My question is whether or not larger ships play a role in combat as actual combat ships (as opposed to big carriers) now in stock or any mods and how... It seems to me like large ships should be more powerful than smaller ships. Smaller ships could be able to mount large weapons which would make them effective against large ships but at the cost of only having one weapon per ship. |
Organic WeaponsSoumis par Lector Rae le Lun, 2007-12-17 22:36 Space Empires V GeneralWhat is it about organic weapons that is depleting my supplies? This is the second game where I've happened on an organic empire, like the Drushocka for instance, and something in the organic weapons is vaporizing the supplies on my ships. The ship isn't damaged, so it isn't like the supplies are getting destroyed. They just...disappear. I'm very disturbed by this. Any ideas? |
