Are individuals Ministers working?

Hi,

I had the habit in SE4 to let the AI do my pop shuffling (in single player at least). It seems it don't work in SE5.

The ships are of design type 'Pop Transport'.
They have the individual AI icon activated on them.
The said minister "Pop transport" is activated in empire options.

=> Turn after turn they stand still.

Any explanaition aside from (yet another?) bug?

I only use the Ai to launch

I only use the Ai to launch satellites automatically, as that is one of my defenses I use on all planets. Until I figure out something better.

With SE5's population

With SE5's population migration the necessity of pop transports has diminished. Unfortunately it is still needed if you allow immigration with other races.* I don't have too many planets that need populations shifted so I haven't tested it myself.

* For example, immigrants from a carbon dioxide race will fill up CO2 worlds, but you still need to remove your native oxygen/methane/whatever breathers to get maximum utility from the planet. They won't leave by themselves.
