A couple of questions regarding Retail vs. Steam D/L?

Submitted by RCMP on Sat, 2006-10-28 12:00. Space Empires V General

ok A couple Questions;

I ordered SpaceEmpire V on (online) the 11th and still have not received it here in Toronto Canada. My local EB store said the 24th, 26th and today the 31st of October. I preordered with EB and my Online copy is on the way? I need a third copy for my LAN games and was thinking of D/L from Steam. I usually hate steam but would like to try the game some time this month Smiling
Is the Steam version the exact same as the Retail box versions which are crawling to Canada from the USA?

Thanks Guys

Oh Has anyone received the Box version in Canada?

Can you change the SEV install path with Steam?

Submitted by raynor on Sat, 2006-10-28 13:47.

I ordered SEV using Steam so I could get it faster. But it is somewhat of a pain navigating the Steam directory structure to get down to the SEV data directory. I'm just a little bit too lazy to uninstall and re-install the game. I'm curious if anyone with the Steam version figured out a way to install it to a different directory?

If not, then I'll probably buy my second copy of the game so I can pick the install location--well, that plus give more money to Malfador.

Thanks.

And, yeah, I know that I can just copy those data files to a different location. But... I already said I'm lazy, didn't I? Smiling

Bah, you should have bought in Aus, then you could have had it before release date!
