It means your ministers are trying to do a refit with insufficient resources to me. Its what you get for letting ministers run ANYTHING.

There are 10 types of people in the world:

Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

Lol, Intelligence, Politics

Lol, Intelligence, Politics and perhaps Research were the only things that Ministers were good at. I would switch roles if I were you and try a bit of galactic domination instead.

What's your resource storage?

Submitted by raynor on Sat, 2006-10-28 12:50.

At the beginning of the game, you only have storage in your empire for 50,000 minerals, organics and radioactives. By the time you start doing a lot of retrofits on your ships, you may want to have doubled or tripled your storage to 100,000 or even 150,000. Sometimes, you might be blowing 10,000 minerals per ship retrofit.

Check your resource storage and your net resources every month. Then, try to do the retrofit manually (if you can figure out which ship they were trying to retrofit). When you try to do the retrofit, it will show you the cost in minerals, organics and radioctives that will be taken from your resource storage.

Make really, really sure that you have a POSITIVE net resources. Typically, if you haven't been operating in the negative for several turns, you should have at least 50,000 minerals. Well, that is, unless the minister has been doing lots of retrofits in one turn. In that case, you might have almost no minerals in storage at all but still be in the black in terms of net resources per game turn.

Hope this didn't confuse you more. Smiling
