Space Empires V General
I hafta say I like the real-time combat over turn based. Just cause timing is everything and everyone shoots at the same time. Sure ya can pause and decide what to do but that doesn't mean the AI(at least the better AI in the balance mod) can't counter it. Makes combat seem more real, at least in my opinion. I do have a question though and that is how do the number of engines relate to the combat speed? Just curious.

Space Movement = km/s

For every movement point max that your ship has in space, it goes a km/s faster. So if you can move 13 hexes per turn in space, your ship will move at 13km/s during combat.

more engines = faster? not
more engines = faster?
not quite sure what you're asking there...
the more movement points you have for a ship the faster it will move in combat.
stock sucks as it is, since a 10kt engine on a frigate gives one movement point, but a 10kt engine on a dread also gives one movement point. this means that a dread uses the same amount of supplys getting from A to B than the frigate.
one of the reasons I detest stock.
give me QNP or something simular anyday.
