Warp points in the sun

I played a huge cluster map. The settings were with warppoints anywhere in the system. They will usually appear in the blacked-out area around the sun.

Warp Point in a Star: Have you read 'The Mote in God's Eye', by

Have you ever read 'The Mote in God's Eye', by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle? That story features a star that has a warp point inside of it. Thus the potentially dangerous alien inhabitants of the system can not leave it yet. The visiting human empire can come and go because of a shield technology. Later the aliens aquire this shield technology.
