Only a quick one, but all i'm going to say is "REPULSORS ROCK!!!"

Repulsors
Hadn't seen them in action yet. Fun. No damage to the target ship?

Repulsors/Tractors
Tractor beams are useful to bring a ship in for ship capture. Not sure how this has been implemented in SE:V

Ooh, Google Video... getting
Ooh, Google Video... getting some word-of-mouth advertising out, eh?

Mr. Flibble says...
Game over, boys!

All I gotta say...
That looked downright cool, I'm gonna have to try that.
*edit*
Seems to me that this repulsor is WAY to powerful, at least for any sort of effective weapon. It seems to me that it is quite an effective combat ender.
Repulsors Interesting Tactic
I will have to try this Repulsor tactic.
It sounds like it would be worthwhile to experiment with these repulsors.

The one time I tested it the
The one time I tested it the repulsor threw the reciving ship so far out of the combat zone I expected to find it for sectors away on the system map.

Interdum feror cupidine partium magnarum Europae vincendarum
Sometimes I get this urge to conquer large parts of Europe.
The tractor beam does the
The tractor beam does the same but in the different direction, sling shots the target through you.
Doesn't always happen though, so somethings a bit fishy.
Both beams
Both those beams can miss, which might be what you're seeing. Also, in SE4 you had to have a bigger ship than your opponent or it wouldn't work.

Repulsors Rock...see link at top
Damn that no-edit. I was going to add a bit at the bottom...
The repulsors used were stock 'unedited' componants, lvl 9.
There was 4 equiped, but i'm not sure if they all fire at the same time or not. One of my previous simulations had them fire at closer range (which has a greater effect) and the ship flew for miles!!!
