SAVE ERROR |
I get an error everytime i try to save a game now...it says "unable to save game" and it gives the path. What to do about this? I saved a game yesterday after downloading the patch....but now, today, it dosent....oh and I have pleanty of space on my hard drive.
Can you save under an other
Can you save under an other name? Like inman3.gam? Try to save under a new fresh savegamename. Maybe Windows just set the inman2.gam file to writeprotected.
Have no Problems with my savegames.

Sorry I have no further ideas how to help you. Only one hint can I give you.
In the past, I had often problems with games and long pathnames, so I always install my games now with shorter paths. SEV is installed at my pc under F:\games\space empires compilation\SEV

I had the same problem last night, fortunately I have been autosaving fairly regularly so I don't expect to lose too much.
is it just one game?
Is your save problem with a specific se5 game, or is it every se5 game?
I've had a single demo game go corrupt, and thereafter couldn't be saved. I think the last save might have been corrupt too, I don't recall. Since then, if I care about a game, I avoid overwriting the last few "most current" saves... actually I've tended to do that on most computer games, for years.

I had the same problem. I have autosave on every 2 turns, and it happened to me at 2411.0, so I reloaded at 2410.8 and it works just fine from there.
