I got a problem with alliances

Submitted by anthropian on Sun, 2008-10-05 11:58. Space Empires V General

Me and a couple friends are playing SEV and decided to have a little fun by getting two of us create an alliance with a bunch of the ai players, leave and then creating an all human alliance. okay, so there are 4 empires. Player A through player D and they are roughly spaced out on the map in the same order (IE: Player A is beside player B, Player B is beside Player C and Player C is beside Player D)

Player D sent a ship to meet player B and they formed an alliance. Next turn, Player D added both player A and C. The next turn Player A and C are in the alliance and player B and D both leave without either specifying they wanted to leave.

Why is this happening? Is it the spacing? are they too far apart? Is there an AI thing that needs to be Toggled or a rule for how many human players are in an alliance? Or maybe a limit i'm not aware of?

Can anyone help plz

Alliances are mostly broken.
The AI doesnt know what to do with alliances. i would recommend staying away fomr alliances until they are fixed.
