This is one huge game!

I don't know if it is the best space strategy of all time but I think its safe to say it is the biggest. Everything I can think of from sci-fi movies to other games to anything else that can be in space is in this game, it pretty much has it all. I know SE4 was also a huge game but SEV, its alot bigger and better. Anyway, I just got the retail copy yesterday from gamestop and so far I am very impressed, looks like a steep learning curve, complex but very rewarding. Now this makes 3 seriously excellent space strategy games out right now, GalCiv2, Sword of the Stars, and now SEV. Now I just need more time to play them all!
