Alliances. |

In a multiplayer game, i have a computer player that was the last member of an alliance. So this computer decides to add his enemy (me) and 2 of my enemies to his alliance. Since the computer is the only one in the empire his proposals, to add these three hostile empires, pass with 100% votes and we are all added. There's no option to opt out, you are just added and now share, whatever the computer has decided, with all your eneimes. This seems wrong to me...
And say a human player is the last one in an alliance. he could add his worst enemy.
Re: Alliances.
I've been playing this game since the beginning and I have to ask: Why is it I haven't seen any of the 'issues' with Alliances fixed except for the bugs that crashed the game way back when?
Or have I just missed all the Alliance bug fixes?
Seriously, it was a major draw for me to get the game and play it, but it's still so buggy that Alliances might as well not even be in the game.
What gives? I can understand it's not as important as other things, but you'd think that here and there, SOMETHING would get done.

Re: Alliances.
One of the issues is that there is a not a clear, concise list of known Alliance issues/bugs. I'd estimate about it's about 80-90% functional with a couple of bugs and an incomplete "ruleset" for Alliances to blame.

Re: Alliances.
Still, seeing how alliences are only damaging rignt now, why haven't they been removed until maybe they are fixed some day?

Re: Alliances.
At least it appears the computer can add two more players to his alliance. Actual players cannot add more than one person to the alliance feature. But yes, this does appear to be another problem in the long list of problems with the alliance functionality.
Loyalty above all else except honor.
