Ordinance/Supplies in sat groups |
I'm playing 1.71 w/ BM 1.14a and noticed something that I found odd, but wasn't sure if this was intended.
I have a satellite group of 10 satellites (5 beam sat's & 5 missle sats) with the following breakdown for supplies/ord.
Beam Sats: (500 Supplies, 0 ord)
Missle Sats: (1000 Supplies, 200 ord)
When testing configurations in the simulator, the sat group shows a total reserve of the following for supplies/ord:
Supplies: 7500
Ordinance: 1000
When combat on the simulator starts however each satellite gets 1/10th of those total supplies, thus each satellite has 750 Supplies and 100 Ordinance. However the beam satellites have 0 ord. capacity so the 100 ordinance assigned to them are "lost". This seemed odd because as a result of this distribution each missle satellite starts with 750/1000 Supplies and 100/200 Ord despite there being enough of each originally.
Re: Ordinance/Supplies in sat groups
Not just satelites, its fighters as well.

Re: Ordinance/Supplies in sat groups
Like I've said before, there's not much chance that supply is completely debugged in 1.74... But at least the most problematic supply bugs are gone!
Mail the bugs to , and update this page : http://wiki.spaceempires.net/index.php/Known_Bugs_(SEV) when you're at it.
Re: Ordinance/Supplies in sat groups
well anyone have an update to this ?????

Re: Ordinance/Supplies in sat groups
I think that's just for the simulator. It can't handle all the supplies so it does something like takes the full supplies for one, or a few, and shares them among them all.
I've got a game with plenty of fighters and in a real fight I've been noticing problems with supplies. Whole squadrons being low, or having none, so it might be in real battles as well. I have plenty of refuelling depots, but there are hundreds of fighters at a time. I don't know how long they can last real combat as opposed to lasting quite a while if they're just flying around.
