Victory Condition Question |
Newbie here, just started playing SEV about 4 weeks ago. This game is sooo cool !
I started with the tutorial. Then started looking online for clarification on some questions I had. Found the lastest version, installed it, not thinking that older version saved games may not be compatable... duh! So my tinkering with the tutorial ended. Started a new game, been working at it for almost 2 weeks. And then suddenly tonight it ends without warning. I'll be honest, I don't remember if I set any victory conditions or not, or if I used Quick Start. So this brings up three questions.
a) How can you tell if a victory condition is set for a game, and what is it?
b) What is the victory condition for Quick Start games? Is there a default?
c) Is it possible to change the victory condition mid-game? And how is that done?
Re: Victory Condition Question
When no victory condition is set the condition is "last man standing" excluding minor empires IIRC
Re: Victory Condition Question
Are you playing the full version or the demo?
Demo has a certain number of turns before it ends. - not sure how many though.
Re: Victory Condition Question
100, IIRC

Before you can develop a strategy, you have to have a vision.
Re: Victory Condition Question
Did you accidentally surrender your empire?
Have any of these AI players you are aware of expanded beyond their home system?
Re: Victory Condition Question
I know i accidently surrendered once when i meant to demand that they surrender to me as i had a 5x score advantage over them, fleets that numbered nearly 100 ships in their last two systems and if they had 1 ship left, i would be surprised.

Re: Victory Condition Question
a) go to empires (face with a scanning dish), then comaprisons, and choose victory conditions.
b) doesn't appear to be any.
c) No, I don't think you can change mid game.
