Drone and new Patch Question |
Hi Guys,
I recently updated my game and started again.
Now whenever I create drones and use the battle sim they flee?
They have ammo,fuel and a target but they turn tail and run?
Any ideas on what I have missed, they worked fine before the patch update.

In stock, Drones will also flee from other units because their warheads cannot target units, and Drones will not fire PD weapons at all.

What u mean stock? And how do i get them to work. I want them to assault and fire PD.

"Stock" is a term for the standard data files the game comes with.
You'll want to change the following entry in VehicleUnitTypes.txt in the Data folder to get drones to behave like ships.

I think there's more to it than that. I changed the vehicle type entries as you said. Now the AI puts neither warheads nor weapons on its drones!

Stop wasting your time with stock and play the balance mod. It is close to the original intentions of stock but a much, much better game. more challenging AI... innumerable improvements.

In stock, Drones will flee if they don't have warheads.
