Need help with modding

Hi, I've been doing a little modding using the SEV editor. Most of it is simple so far, but I haven't found a way to change the range of weapons. It should be so simple, but I found no entry anywhere about it, not in the editor, not in the data files. I've read the faqs and didn't find it. Does anyone know?
