Not so infinite resources - bug?

The infinite resources setting is supposed to prevent the decrease of mineral values. I was playing a 1.71 game with Balance mod, and built robo-miner bases on asteroid fields and uncolonizable planets. After a few turns I noticed that the relevant values for the mined planets decreased - but not for the asteroids. I guess it's a bug.

Remote mining should decrease both the value of planets and asteroids. They should both lose 1% per turn - so the bug here would be asteroids are not losing their value. Can you check to see if the line in your Balance Mod's settings.txt is:

Remote Mining Decreases Asteroid Value := TRUE

The setting is TRUE.

I built a remote mining base with 4 robo-miners. And I did get resources from the mining.

Running the game a bit further did not affect asteroid values either.

So the finite/infinite resources settings does not have an effect here?

Correct, finite/infinite resources don't play a role here. It seems the value in settings.txt is being ignored.
