clonies |

After you colonize a planet you are asked what kind of colony you want. It gives you a list like mineing refining, military instillation and so on. Is there any difference on which one I choose?
Re: clonies
You can turn that dialog off in Empire Settings under Display options. Turning it off leaves the colony type blank until you set it manually yourself.

"Good morning, Pooh Bear," said Eeyore gloomily. "If it /is/ a good morning," he said. "Which I doubt," said he.

Re: clonies
can i make my own types?
and if i can... how can i to do that?

Re: clonies
i mean i want my ministers to follow my own list of construction
Re: clonies
that requires setting up the AI Scripts. I have never tried that and don't know how. Ask Kwok.

Re: clonies
i know nothing in scripting... I can just ask you, Cpt kWok, to add some new colony types in your balance mod

Re: clonies
What would probably be best is for you to learn how to use queue lists. Basically you fill up a queue with items then you can save that list for use with any queue. The "Fill Queue" options are on the Construction Queue window just above "Queue Settings".

Re: clonies
and AI will use these queue list if i turn on ministers?

Re: colonies
Ministers cannot use queue lists. In stock, they build from a set list of facilities associated with the default colony types. In the Balance Mod, they're a bit more dynamic and will sometimes insert other types of facilities depending on the empire's status.
Usually players just want to build a bunch of the same facilities and maybe some units, so I suggested using Queue Lists because its probably more of what you really want. It's just as a fast once you've created a bunch of template lists.

Re: clonies
If you let your ministers build facilities then they choose what to build based on what you select as the colony type, but otherwise it makes no difference.
