Any one have a list that has all the AbilityTypes that will work in the VehicleSizes?

I know that some Work but What dose work and what dose not. .
But dose any one have a list of what will work and what wont?

So far no abilities that start with Component- Will work. . Was trying to see if I could mod all hulls to be resistant to small weapon damages such as fighters.

In general, if an ability affects the component itself (eg: the emissive armor damage resistance ability), its not going to work as a hull ability. If the ability applies to the vehicle in general, however, it should work. ECM, movement abilities, cargo storage, etc., all tend to work as hull abilities.

Thanks Fyron. . . Thats what I figured. .

Now do you know if abilities stack with shields. Such as an emissive type of shield. or should I just modify the DamageTypes.txt to do something similar as only taking 10% damage from small weapons .

The 'Component - Regeneration' ability will work on hulls assuming there is a component present on the hull that has the same ability. The shield regeneration ability may work in the same way.

Component - Damage Resistance affects damage done to a component, not to the shield layer.

Reducing damage to 10% is a bit excessive IMO.. Invincibilium does not make for the best of mods.

Was just planing for All the light fighter weapons to be used to shoot fighters, Drones, Satellite. Rapid fire, low damage. I just wanted fighters to be limited to harassing ships unless they were equipped with anti-ship grade weapons. But still able to do some damage if thats all you had. Just like a .50 cal round wont do much to a modern cruiser. if it hits the hull.

For the hull I was planing for 5 points of Damage Resistance. where most of the fighter weapons do 1-6 damage. So each shot has a 1 in 6 chance of doing damage to the ship. To simulate a hit to a less well protected spot. Such as a Sensor Array or such.

Rather than screwing them over with wasted shots and supplies, why not simply make the weapons unable to target ships?

I've actually been toying with that myself (modding ftr/drone weapons) and this is what I've done. I've modded the DamageType.txt itself and made all the ftr/drone weapons except for a few (shipkiller missiles etc) comform to it.

I've already started that, Just that I have so many damagetypes now. . That I don't know if any one else will understand what weapons are good for what any more.
Already have over 30 damage types.. Is there a limit on number of Damage types? Example = Ballistics are Good Vs Armor but Very Very Poor Vs Shields
I have 3 Versions of Weapons - Fighter, Normal, Capital

Each has a more Better penetration of Shields and Armor
Fighter - Low damage Ships Normal Damage to Units
Normal -
Capital - Improved Damage Penetration To Shields and Armor, Used by Capital Ships for Ship to Ship Combat.
