hang up during processing turns

I just started a game and I'm about 50 turns into the game and it always seems to hang at processing turn (the blue bar is between the O and C).
It's a huge game with 200+ systems and lots of enemy players.
Now if I save and quit the game, then restart it doesn't seem to have a problem.
Any solution to this or wil I have to restart the game after every turn. I have already disabled autosave since it also caused crashes. I tried safe video memory and disabling music but it didn't help.

I always have trouble telling the difference between a hang and a really slow turn. A huge game with lots of players and stuff will aggrevate that immensely. Sounds like you could be describing the effects of a memory leak. About all you could do now is restart occasionally but be ready because soon you won't be able to process anything due to PC limitations. Smiling

AFAIK this is a known bug and is to be fixed inm the upcomming patch. Ive had to abandon several games because of this bug, sometimes a restart fixes it, but sometimes it doesn't. Sad
