Space Simulator bug, wrong trait description / Racial Trait bug

Submitted by Zteel on Sat, 2008-02-16 05:48. Space Empires V General

When you select the Racial Trait: Advanced Storage Techniques it has the following description:
Planets can store +25% of normal cargo capacity
Planets can store +10% of normal facility capacity

But it also increases all ships cargo capacity by +25%. I don’t know if this is a bug or if it is the description that is wrong.

If it isn’t a bug then there is a bug in the space simulator. If you have a ship with x cargo space with the Racial Trait: Advanced Storage Techniques, then the ship storage will be x+25% but the bonus doesn’t apply in the space simulator.

Space simulator won't show the race specific data.
The +1 movement is not visible in simulator either.

Speaking of simulator, does the "place ships" work for you? In the latest version I've have a problem with this. The combat in simulator works fine, but I can't set the ships, it only shows empty combat field, so I can't set them up in advance. Am I the only one with this problem?

I have used ship placement in the past, so it used to work. 1.58ish, I think. I don't think I've used since then.

I tried using the Simulator and it wouldn't allow me to place anything either.

As to what the OP said. It shouldn't be a bug... if something is supposed to increase cargo capacity it should increase ALL cargo capacity weither it be a ship or a planet.

No racial characteristics carry over to the simulator.
