Picture problems

The pictures in my game are getting scrambled. The effect is not consistent, sometimes there is no problem. Often the ships at the bottom of the screen get scrambled, ie a ship looks like a satellite.

My game is at version 1.63 and I'm playing noname's mod.

Any Ideas?

Are you runnning anything in the backround? And if so, are you useing Alt-Tab a lot?

Do you mean Windows "Safe Mode"?

Nothing is in the background and I've never used Alt-Tab with sev.

btw, I'm running on XP.

In the setup menu for SE5, you can set video memory from AUTO to SAFE, which resolves most display issues.

I had same problem near year ago. It was fixed, when i changed color depth to 32 (1280*1024), and all other settings to high. Try experimenting with Setup.

Thanks, changing the video memory to SAFE fixed it. I'll need to pay more attention to the options.
