Carriers and Supplies

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but in 1.66 with the newest BM, you can create supplies with a carrier and fighters. I searched the bugs and forum to see if anyone else had noticed this, but I haven't found any old threads.
Basically I found that with a large carrier with about 100 fighters it would instantly go empty on supplies after if launched its fighters in battle, so afterwards I launched 50 fighters and they had supplies! I then transfer them to the carrier, retreive the fighters and do it again till the carrier is max supplies. It seems to me if a carrier is almost empty of supplies and launches fighters, they should have no supplies, not 15000 or something.
It seems to me this neat trick wasn't planned? Also a carrier shouldn't lose all its supplies during the middle of a battle just because it has 100+ fighters.

...umm, heh. No, I'm quite sure that wasn't planned. Its definetly a bug but I wouldn't know if its from the game or the mod. Sounds like something in the game though.

Do the supplies stay aboard if you change the turn? Because it could be that what you are actually doing is tappingthe other 50 fighters empty.
If this is the case, the supply should disappear when turn changes.

No, the supplies are there next turn. I've been trying it with smaller carriers and doesn't seem to work, it seems to have to be a large carrier that can hold a lot of cargo and supplies and only launch maybe 20 or so fighters.
