This may have been touched on but how do I do that? I would like to go to 1440x900.

I should be more clear. I set it to 1440x900 and it opens windowed and displays only a grey box.

The game is designed to run at 1024x768. Trying to run it at any other resolution causes various odd graphics problems.

The game is designed to run at any resolution greater than or equal to 1024x768. 1440x900 is a normal, supported resolution (it works fine on my laptop, as well as 1650x1080). Are you setting the resolution in the Setup screen (for fullscreen mode)? Have you tried running it in 16 bit (or 32 bit) color depth? What sort of video card and OS are you sporting? Do you have the latest drivers installed? What is your normal desktop resolution set to? I assume you are running the latest patch (1.66)?

Fyron is right; I oversimplified the issue, mostly from memory of threads about problems running on a screen with a different aspect ratio.

However, on my system, if I run SEV at any other resolution than 1024x768, I can't access the .pdf manual. (Well, technically I can open it once, but when I alt-tab back to the game, the space background has changed from black to prismatic.)
