Troopdance |
Hello,
Anybody experienced a similar matter ??
In a multiplayer game I invaded an enemy homeworld with 12 troops (it seems it was defended by 5 Militia)
The next turn I got my savegame back by mail, I got the battle result where NOT A SINGLE troop had been destroyed !!
So I took a look at the combat replay and it seemed that right from the start all the enemy AND my troops were drawn to a single point on the battlefield... and when thet arrived they started spinning wildly.
So after a 30 seconds all 17 troops were doing a dance on the same point... It was a colourfull sight, some kind of caleidoscope thing...
After 3 minutes, the battle ended and would be refought the next turn !!
I asked my opponent to replay his own turn before he send the savegame back to me... And lo and behold... it worked fine this time... The troops actually fought a combat this time...
So with just changing something to the tech focus and changing something about a treaty the issue was gone...
Strange behaviour... anybody seen it ?? What caused it ??
Thanks for the input,

Re: Troopdance
I've had tactical battles where most of the troops would just sit and spin instead of attacking. Sometimes they'll move and attack if I command them directly. Perhaps there is a limit as to how much can move and attack at once.
