Space Empires V FAQs
Can somebody please explain how the points (shown in the comparison) are calculated ??
Not that those are very important but (in a multiplayer with 2 humans and 11 AI's) we see our ranking go up and down seemingly randomly. I myself from 10th place to 5th, back to 8th, then 7th. The other player went from 10th to 2nd, dropped down to 7th, back to 4th ??
Sometimes when almost nothing happened in the game you get a bucketload of points and at other times when you get 2 techs, found a new colony, have a new ship ready you get almost no extra points ??
So, we are utterly confused about what gives you the points...

Look at the ScoreWeighting.txt file in the data folder. It's used to determined a player's score. If it's early in the game, everybody should be fairly close in the points department.
