One way ticket bug |
Unfortunately didn't save the game as it was right near the start and it didn't occur to me to keep it for debugging but I encountered a warp point that randomly about 6 turns later lost one end, thereby becoming a one-way door. It was possible to use it but you couldn't get back because that end was missing.
Just wondered if anyone else has encountered this problem before?
Re: One way ticket bug
I've this "bug" too, using stock with some modded component. After the message of the closing WP, the WP disappear in the system B, but it's open in the system A, so I can end ship trough this "one way" WP. But If I use automove (like colonize) the AI consider this WP close. One must send ship manually trough this WP.
Re: One way ticket bug
Never seen this before but I believe SE4 had warp points with odd abilities.
Re: One way ticket bug
In SEIV, the Map Editor would let you add one-way warp points. A dialog box would warn you that you needed to add a return warp from the destination system, but didn't force you to do so.
"Good morning, Pooh Bear," said Eeyore gloomily. "If it /is/ a good morning," he said. "Which I doubt," said he.
Re: One way ticket bug
I've always wanted to do a map modeled after the Honor Harrington series. They make good use of warp points. I'll wait until we have a more robust map editor.
Re: One way ticket bug
yeah BM has a script function that adds a random WP collapsed event. It looks like it doesn't always work right. did you have system gravitational shield facility?

Re: One way ticket bug
I haven't encountered this no, but were you using stock or a mod? And, if a mod, which mod (and version)?
Upgraded to v1.66?
