They should change the Stock data files to BM w/FQM and just ship that as stock. Seriously, its way better than regular stock, more balanced, better AI. Aaron couldn't get mad, after all Captain Kwok and Fyron couldn't have made their excellent mods without SE to begin with. But, they have made them and, sorry Aaron, its better than your stock game so if you wanted to increase the new players enjoyment of the game, implement BM w/FQM as Stock!

p.s.- the only thing is that that would mess with Unnamed's stock AI mod which is awesome in itself ...hrm.

SEIV Gold and Deluxe included a couple hundred megs of mods, shipsets, and utility programs in the Extras folder on the CD. If SEV is successful enough to produce a Gold version, Strategy First could do the same if they wanted to.

I think it should be included on the future "deluxe" Cd Not as a new stock. Believe it or not some people dont prefer the balance mod.

True. The AI is tougher but I don't like how the techs are changed.

All to ones tastes, I guess. I love not having to train 100 levels of something. Seeing 1% increases or somesuch kinda sucks to me, I much prefer BM's way.

Many do prefer stock. Many don't so it would make sense at least to me to inlcude both in future releases. Still it's not to hard to download.

On the other hand, I've always believed the game would lose some of its magic once I tinker with its inner workings.

SE V it's intended to be modded. New player can easily download BM and FQM and install it. Maybe, MM can include in SE V cd also this two mod, but they aren't at their last version, so...
