BM 1.12 Ministers arent working

Are they supposed to be functional? I tried creating empires with both aggressive and moderate minister types, but neither are functioning in BM 1.12.

They are working fine. Is there a minister in particular you are trying to use?

I just tried the research one and it doesnt allocate any research points.

Did you run a turn? Scripts (ie ministers) are run before the turn and not during it.

That's happened to me under the older versions a few times. Haven't played with the newest updates yet.
It seems to be related to starting a new game with a custom race. Possibly caused by not setting the minister type under the race options? I'm not sure on that...

Though when it has happened, just saving the game, exit out and load the save game seems to have fixed it in the past.

Just tried a quickstart game and the ministers still don't work for me.
