Spies. How I love them |
Okay, instead of griping about bugs, I'll talk about something cool that happened. So, there was an empire next to me that was used the exact same planet type as I. They were hogging all the planets in a direction I intended to expand into. Well, I just can't take that now can I. So, I loaded up a fleet of 5 frigates and one transport loaded with troops. The enemy fleet numbered some 12 frigates, though I did have a slight technological edge. Nevertheless, my edge wasn't near enough to offset their numbers. Luckily, I had an ace up my sleeve. I had complete dominance in intelligence. So, I put 80% of my intel efforts into sabotaging their ships. In the three turns it took my fleet to get to his homeworld, onle one ship remained. The rest had been been scattered by false orders to the far side of the solar system. So, I attacked and destroyed a star base that was defending the planet and dropped my troops. The enemy was able to return before the troop battle and annihilate my fleet, but the troops were already on the ground. During the ground battle, I slaughtered the enemy forces and took over the enemy's home planet. Hah! Now, all they have are a few piddling planets that I can sweep right aside. Spies rule!
