i don't understand. is there a new windows vista xp? or are they talking about downgrading from vista back to xp

Yes, downgrading. The reviewer is being sarcastic, pointing out ways that XP was better than Vista.

I know people who feel that WinXP was a downgrade from Win2K, as well.

and so on to 98 and 95. I thought those two were better and what followed were fluffed up versions with additional features (resulting in overcomplications and lawsuits) thrown in. Almost makes me wish for a return to good old MS-DOS. Smiling

DOS? Blech! Back vile demon! I am so not a power user, confirmed point and clicker here. And I much prefer it this way too, heh.

Well, 98 was actually better than 95 (atleast SE) but then they actually did downgrade with ME. I prefer XP over 2k personally; I had problems with 2k running alot of games.
